Why we do this

Small business, helping small business.

Most small organizations sit in a gap. A full-time analyst is expensive, and few of them need one all week. The large consulting firms that could help price and scope for enterprises, so a small organization usually gets an oversized solution it can't sustain, or no answer at all.

Independent data practitioners feel the same pressure from the other side. To make the work pay, most of them have to chase the big contracts.

We're a group of independently employed data professionals who chose to fill that gap. We believe data and its benefits should be accessible, and we want to support the small, independent operators who make up so much of our economy. With no shareholders or sales quotas behind us, we can size each job to fit you, and spend our time on data work we're genuinely passionate about.

What you won't pay for

  • A retainer for hours you rarely use
  • Licences for a platform you'll never grow into
  • A bigger project than the problem needs

What you get

  • An experienced practitioner matched to the job
  • A fixed scope, a fixed price and an end date
  • Something you can run yourself afterwards

Calibrated, not maximal

We size the work to the problem. A shared spreadsheet that works beats a data warehouse nobody maintains.

Plain about trade-offs

You get the cost, the effort and the limits up front. If an off-the-shelf tool will do, we'll say so.

Your data stays yours

We don't resell, repurpose or quietly keep what you share with us. Privacy is part of the design, not an add-on.

Built to be handed over

Everything we build comes with documentation you can follow, so it keeps working after we leave.

What we do

Practical data work for organizations without a data team.

Our practitioners bring years of professional experience in data, IT and information management. We match each engagement to the person whose background fits it.

  • Data analytics

Turn the numbers you already collect into answers: who your best customers are, where money leaks out, and what's changing.

e.g. which services actually make you money
  • Information management

Organize, document and protect the information spread across spreadsheets, inboxes and shared drives, so people can find it and it's handled responsibly.

e.g. one tidy client list from four sources
  • Reporting

Replace the monthly copy-and-paste ritual with reports and dashboards that update themselves and answer the questions you actually ask.

e.g. weekly sales summary, no manual steps
  • Process optimization

Map how work really flows, find the steps that waste time or invite errors, and streamline them with tools you already have.

e.g. intake form feeding a searchable log, no retyping

Weighing a software vendor's proposal? We'll also give an independent second opinion on what you need and what you're being oversold.

How an engagement goes

One level at a time.

Like a boat climbing the locks, each step is small, deliberate and finished before the next one starts.

  1. Talk

A free conversation about the problem, in your words. No pitch deck.

  2. Scope

A short written plan with a fixed size, a fixed price and what's out of scope.

  3. Build

Work in small pieces you can see and try as we go.

  4. Hand over

Documentation and a walkthrough, so you own and can run what we built.
